Elsie Award

"The Partnership Award for Vintages is being presented to an individual who has superior working relationships with all members of the Vintages team.

He is reliable, has the ability to deal effectively with tough situations and is a solid communicator. This individual interacts with the Vintages team on a regular basis, alerts us to potential issues and works proactively to solve them. He has a strong comprehension of the dynamics and supports the Vintages category objectives while linking to his company's objectives.

Winemaker events, LTOs and cover page features are among the promotions he has capitalized on to support his brands.

It is my pleasure to award the Partnership Award on behalf of the Vintages team to Philip Mirabelli of Noble Estates. Congratulations!!"

Agent of the Year, 2000

"If anyone has been counting, one Agency has been up to the stage three times tonight: Environmental Commitment, Vintages Award of Excellence and the Partnership Award for Wines. So what else can we say? Always professional, always enthusiastic, this agency has demonstrated superior achievement through unflagging support to both their suppliers and to the LCBO. They take an average marketing budget and with wonderful innovation create outstanding value adds, imaginative gift packages, terrific promotional material and have fun doing it. And it works! Great product launches, an excellent sales performance for their total portfolio, and exciting licensee activity - all speak to their success in 1999-2000.

Elsie Award

Environmental Commitment, 2000

"Wine is a product of nature. And every time you enjoy a glass of this wine you are contributing to the Federation of Ontario Naturalists' work to protect woodlands, wetlands and wildlife. With a donation of $5.00 for every case sold, $8,000 has been raised so far for the campaign "Putting Nature First".

Congratulations to Noble Estates Wines & Spirits, and winemaker Aldo Manfredi, for their successful collaboration on Lange Dolcetto, the perfect accompaniment to nature."

Vintages Innovation Award
Philip Mirabelli accepts Elsie from Tom Wilson, Vice President, Vintages

Vintages Innovation Award, 1998

"I am extremely excited to be here to present this award that celebrates excellence and innovations in Vintages, the fine wine and specialty spirits division. We have defined "innovation" beyond just introducing something new, as we introduced 21500 new products each year. We have defined innovation in terms of being "imaginative, creative, dynamic, professional, unique, our partner, committed, leaders of excellence..."

This broader definition was applied to product submissions, product portfolios, marketing and merchandising strategies, promotions and advertisement, the sales force and recognition of our various customer segments. Not every product launch is successful, so we also looked at "innovation" in managing those more challenging situations as well.

This company was a driving force in the Vintages market and a true partner. Congratulations to Philip Mirabelli, Noble Estates, for their outstanding efforts during 1997-98 and for receiving the inaugural Vintages Innovation Award."
