Family property of 23 hectares located 17 km from Cahors on the Causse Limaire, Combel-la-Serre was created under the movement of Jean-Pierre Ilbert, who decided to leave the wine cooperative in 1998 to become independent. His son Julien returned to the property in 2003 and now works with Sophie, his wife. Little by little, the couple breathes new life into the estate: transitioning to organic (via Ecocert), the return to manual harvesting and sorting throughout the vineyard at harvest, working with the vines in the different terroirs, and their on-going commitment to a consistency of the range of wines offered by the estate.
