The vineyards stretch out around the castle – each with its own particularities and characteristics, each with different soil and microclimatic conditions. From the sun-drenched terraced locations on the Zöbinger Heiligenstein and on the Gaisberg to the extensive gardens around Gobelsburg, there is the opportunity to offer each grape variety the best possible development opportunity - according to its potential.
Each vineyard can be viewed as its own individual, whose plants are matured with care and diligence. A viticulture friendly to nature was already the leitmotif at Gobelsburg Castle when Father Bertrand was still responsible for the property. Applying organic fertiliser, not using weed killers or reducing the use of pesticides are not new regulations but traditional practices.
