We are proud to represent the finest grappas available, from Alexander Society. The company founder, Sandro Bottega, marries elegant grappa with hand-blown glass bottles that he designs. The result is a fabulous presentation of exceptional grappa and beautiful packaging. They also have a new line of organic foods.
Alexander Society Grappa 2000
Alexander Society Grappa is produced using the marcs (skins and pulp of grapes which have already been pressed to make wine) of Pinot, Tocai, Verazzo and Prosecco grapes grown in the Veneto Region. As this is vintage-dated grappa, marcs are used from only that single vintage.
The marcs are placed into vats to complete fermentation at a controlled temperature - approximately eight to 15 days - and the marcs' sugar turns into alcohol. It is then distilled using a steam-batch method. The grappa is left to mature in vats for at least three months to improve both smoothness and balance. Before bottling, de-mineralized water is added and subjected to cold filtration to separate the fine and "oily" parts.

Alexander blown glass bottles
Alexander blown glass bottles, designed by Sandro Bottega, are the ideal vessels in which to showcase the purity and brilliance of these fine grappas. The bottles are valued for their artistic beauty and are sought after by collectors who enthusiastically await the release of new Alexander creations.
Alexander Society "UVE" varietal grappas
Alexander Society produces a family of single-varietal grappas such as the UVE Chardonnay Grappa shown here. While many grappas are produced using a blend of several grape varieties, Alexander Society UVE grappas are each made exclusively from one grape variety. This selection of UVE grappas represents the finest grape varieties found in Italy's most prestigious wine growing regions.
