Marc de Grazia Selections

Marc de Grazia Selections has been promoting fine Italian wines since 1980. Represented are over ninety small estates from 14 Italian wine regions with an emphasis on significant terroir and a preference for autochthonous varietals: Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Aglianico, Fiano, Greco, Verdicchio, Garganega, Nero d'Avola, to name a few. The company's efforts are by no means limited to exporting and marketing, but from the beginning the founder, Marco de Grazia, has worked closely with the growers in all phases of production.

Clerico Barolo

In 1977 Domenico Clerico decided to leave his job as a salesman in order to work full time in his family's estate. Domenico is a self-taught man and started his activity as vigneron following the advise of his producer friends and experimenting in his cellar.

This wine is macerated on the skins in steel rotary fermentor with temperature control for 5-10 days, and aged in oak barriques (90% new, 10% second passage) for 18-20 months. Fining in the bottle for 6-8 months.

Grape: Nebbiolo

Fratelli Revello Barolo

Revello Barolo

The first vinification at the Revello Estate took place in 1967, a great vintage for Barolo. Wine making was then interrupted from 1982 till 1987 when Carlo took over the management supported a few years later by Lorenzo. During the early nineties the estate was greatly transformed and improved, also with help of Elio Altare. At present the Revello brothers are important producers with great "cru" Barolos in the cellar.

This wine is macerated in steel rotary fermentor for 4-5 days at 30-32°C of temperature, fermentation in stainless steel tanks, aging in French oak barriques (40-50% new) for 20-24 months. Fining in the bottle for 8 months.

Manzone Giovanni Barolo Le Gramolere Bricat

Manzone Giovanni Barolo

The core of the estate, Ciabot del Preve, was purchased by the grandfather of Giovanni Manzone in 1925 from tre priest of Castelletto. Utilizing his experience of cellar master he continued to produce wines that he sold in bulk to private consumers. In the seventies, with the purchase of Le Gramolere hill, with a type of soil that naturally limits yields, the estate acquired its present structure.

Fermentation in steel vats, maturation in French oak tonneaux (700 litres) and casks (15-35 hectolitres) for 24 months.

Grape: Nebbiolo

Brief maceration in steel tanks with temperature control. Aging in French oak barriques for 12 months and further 12 months in French oak tonneau.

Fermentation in steel vats, maturation in French oak tonneaux (700 litres) and casks (15-35 hectolitres) for 24 months.

Grape: Nebbiolo
