Description
Maison Jambon Domaine des Maisons Neuves has been winegrowers for 5 generations in the commune of Saint-Lager at the base of the famous Chapelle de Brouilly. They also produce; Brouilly, Côte de Brouilly, Chiroubles, Fleurie, Morgon, Moulin à Vent, Régnié, not forgetting Beaujolais Villages, white, rosé and sparkling wines. In 2016, the estate won the award for Best Gamay in the World for its Chiroubles 2015.
The Fleurie vineyards lie between the Chiroubles and Morgon crus, on steep, sloping hillsides due to the presence of granite. La Joie du Palais reaches an altitude of 400 metres. Its terroir benefits from a semi-continental climate with oceanic and Mediterranean influences, and pink granite (90%), clay, sand and sandy-clay soils.
Taste
The attack is lively and straightforward, the mid-palate is tasty and round with consistency, the acidity and tannins are very fine, and the aromatic presence is a real pleasure.

Pair with roast poultry or white meats.
Vinification
Traditional semi-carbonic fermentation in whole bunches for 15 days in concrete vats, followed by pneumatic pressing.
