Description
Faiveley's parcel of 1.20 ha of vines enjoys an east/west exposure. The shallow, stony soils, rich in limestone and topped with a fine layer of silica, form a very distinctive and unique terroir. Their Latricières-Chambertin is the most southerly of the Gevrey-Chambertin vineyards. This wine embodies the perfect balance between the minerality of Clos de la Roche and the depth of Chambertin. Powerful, it boasts a unique personality and atypical character. Both saline and floral, this wine reveals all the subtle nuances of its terroir with great delicacy. Faiveley's Latricières-Chambertin may not have the raw power of a Gevrey but its seductive minerality and complexity leave a lasting impression.
Taste
Rich ruby red in colour, with a complex nose and rich aromas of roasting and spices coming through. On the palate, ripe, silky tannins pleasantly prelude this powerful wine with an elegant structure.
