Description
Perched on the border of Vosne-Romanée, ’Les Damodes’ thrives defying altitude on marly soil. Lying above Les Boudots and adjacent to Vosne Malconsorts, it shares the same characteristics as Faiveley's Echezeaux and Cazetiers, with a shallow, hard, compact, sandy-clay soil that is sometimes subject to drought. This hugely benefits our grapes, infusing them with a unique minerality.
Taste
This terroir produces a low tannin, silky wine with a distinctive feminine elegance. Expressive aromas of black fruits and spices come through along with subtle hints of toast and roasting. Surprisingly fresh and lively on the palate, it can at times be akin to a white wine.
