Description
The Remelluri Blanco 2022 plots are located at 605 to 805m a.s.l. and reflect the complexity of orientations and soils of the estate (poor limestone terraces, clay limestone soils with outcrops of sandstone and Terciary marls). The blend includes different varieties and diverse vinifications, but the outstanding feature of this wine is its place of origin. It is the wine that best explains the character of the Granja Nuestra Señora de Remelluri vineyard. An exceptional white, nowadays considered one of the most unusual wines of our country.
96 points Robert Parker (Wine Advocate): The white 2022 Blanco, produced with vines at high altitudes (between 605 and 805 meters above sea level). It's ripe, expressive and aromatic, with notes of acacia flowers, white fruit and pepper. It's tender and juicy, with spiciness and a creamy twist and ripeness reflecting the character of the very dry and warm year with 14.5% alcohol, a pH of 3.24 and 5.68 grams of acidity. It has a round and fleshy mouthfeel. It mixes varieties and different vinifications and matured in used barriques, foudres and concrete eggs for one year. 11,430 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2024.
