2023 Leone de Castris 'Five Roses'
Produced from 20 year old vines, this is the first rosé ever produced in Italy!
From the southern region of Puglia the wine is made with the Negroamaro grape.
It has a characteristic crystalline peach blossom colour with fruity scents of cherry and strawberry. In the mouth it is fresh, smooth and nicely persistent.
An excellent example of quality rosé from Italy
2021 Librandi Ciro Rosato 'Segno'
Produced in the southern region of Calabria, this wine is made with the native Gaglioppo grape.
The vineyards are located in the countryside town of Cirò Marina. They overlook the Ionian Sea and benefit from cool ocean breezes, that produce grapes with spicy and floral aromas. This delicious Rosato is deep coral-pink in colour with delicate red berry, floral, and spicy aromas. On the palate it has herbal and orange notes
Great match with cured meats, appetizers and pizza
2021 Le Loup Blanc Regal Rosé
Owned by Montreal restaurateur Alain Rochard, this organic blend of Grenache and Cinsault is a crowd pleaser.
Produced in the Mediterranean region of Languedoc-Roussillon which spans from the Spanish border to Provence
This is a spicy rosé but the fruit is prominent and very fresh. It is a rosé that should be paired with dishes such as grilled shrimp and Salad Niçoise.
